The golden boy of American rally versus a former Formula One world champion on a equal stage albeit different cars, sounds dramatic but this is exactly what took place at the opening ceremonies of the Rally Portugal. Organizers decided to pass on the standard opening ceremonies for a Super Special stage held in a local arena. Drivers were paired against each other based on their corresponding rivalries, and that’s how Ken and Kimi’s rookie battle royale took place.
